I have been reading your updates in the paper with much enthusiasm (I am your neighbour up the street and used to play ultimate frisbee with you). I have been to Slovakia 3 times now, and absolutely love it. I also tried to learn the language (with a bit of help from Vera and Vladimir, too, and some help from CD's and books) but you are right - it is very difficult! The last time I was in Bratislava I went to the opera to try to see Simone's (you must know her - Slovak exchange student?) dad sing, but alas, he was not there that night. I highly recommend the opera, as the building is gorgeous - inside and out!! I will try to look you up on Facebook, to see more of Slovakia through your eyes. Happy travels,

Did you build that wonderful snow person (it's not a snowman because of the big red lips. Also "snowman" is not politically correct:-p
